Who runs this site
Best Strategy Games is published and operated by SCAFA INVESTMENTS LLC, a company registered in the United States. SCAFA INVESTMENTS LLC also develops MapRaiders, a GPS-based territory and card game currently in development. When MapRaiders appears on this site, it is inside a clearly labelled "From our studio" box, separate from the independent picks around it.

How we choose what to recommend
We select games based on four checks:
- Official status. Every game listed is currently available for sale or download through its publisher, with an active support or update history.
- Platform accuracy. We list the platforms a game is actually released on today, sourced from the publisher's own site or store page, not from older announcements.
- Price model. We state whether a game is free, free-to-play with purchases, or a one-time paid purchase, based on the current listing at the time we checked.
- Decision type. We group games by the kind of strategic decision they're built around (turn-based, real-time, tactical, or card-based) so the grouping reflects how the game actually plays, not just its marketing genre.
We do not play every game ourselves before writing about it, and we say so on each page. Where we haven't run our own hands-on test, we describe a game "based on official information and public documentation." We never invent ratings, star scores, player counts or reviews, and we don't publish fabricated "our test" claims.
Sources and check dates
Every recommendation links to the game's official website or an official store listing (Steam, the publisher's own store, or a first-party platform storefront such as Nintendo's). Each page states the date its facts were last checked. When a publisher changes a price, platform list or availability after that date, the page may be temporarily out of date until our next review pass.
How MapRaiders is treated on this site
MapRaiders is currently in development and accepting beta registrations. It is not downloadable, not publicly playable, and it is never included in the numbered lists of playable strategy game picks on this site. Any mention of MapRaiders sits in its own labelled box and links to MapRaiders' own pages for further detail.
